The publication is about the absence of a dear friend due to her successful international career,
the emptiness and silence of being alone on the road traveling between hotels,
and the longing for her presence at an appointment, meeting, or performance.

Kelly van Kampen (1993) is an autonomous and portrait photographer.
She graduated in Photography at the University of the Arts Utrecht in 2018.
In her work, there is a play with the unfinished, the adjustment of expectations,
longing, and giving a new twist to an event, no matter how small or insignificant.
This creates a interplay between sometimes elusive matters and her own interventions.
The feeling of being overwhelmed is transformed and leads to new layers.
She responds in an associative and poetic way to what happens.
